Description
Artista® columns can be used to create a wide range of looks, from the classical to the contemporary. They can be decorated with colour or render applied with stucco, and can be dressed with a range of matching capitals and bases.
Applications
Outside, they are particularly attractive around entrance ways, patios, pools and entertainment areas. Inside, they can be used to create grand entrance halls and to create visual divides in large rooms.
- Decorative: Can be used freestanding for purely decorative purposes, or as a dressing around a load bearing timber or steel post.
- Unfilled load bearing: Subject to loading criteria being satisfied, they can be used to support lightweight roof structures, often without any further reinforcement required.
- Load bearing: Can be filled with reinforced concrete as they have been designed to withstand concrete pour pressures at various stages - load bearing capacities become available once filled with reinforced concrete - refer to our technical manual for details. Do not use rapid cement and do not encase timber posts in concrete.
- To conceal: Can be split and used to conceal unsightly services and transform them quickly and easily - refer to our technical manual for details.
